Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be the biggest blockbuster movie of all time!
A month ago there was a rumor that Alfred Molina was seen at Marvel Studios in talks with them about coming back to Marvel, but we did not know what role he would play, other than speculations that he would reprise his role as the iconic Doctor Otto Octavius, aka Doctor Octopus. Low and behold here we are with confirmation that he is coming back as that iconic role and I think I can say we as comic book fans are very enthusiastic about.

Back in 2014 Molina also expressed to Collider that he would be intersted in returning to the role:
“That was the most fun I think I’ve ever had on a movie of that kind, you know, those big, big sort of features where you spend like six months hanging off a wire, you know, and that stuff. But it was the first movie of that kind that I’ve ever been involved in. I had a wonderful time. I loved it. I mean, I’d go back and do it again in a heartbeat.” -Alfred Molina
It has yet to be confirmed that Molina would be Rami’s Doc Ock since he met a tragic and heroic end with his iconic line, “I will not die a monster.” then sank to the depths with his mechanical arms and the artificial sun he created.

But the news does not end there with only Molina. Following his returned announcement are our wall crawlers’ love interests making a comeback. Kirsten Dunst as MJ and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy bringing in Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider, because why not, reprising their roles in what is shaping up to be the best Spiderman film in comic history, hopefully. We all know what happens when you focus too much on the fan service and not the story aka Rise of Skywalker.
This movie first seemed like just a regular Spiderman 3 to clear Peter Parker’s name after the events of Spiderman Far FromHome and set up the next Avengers Saga, but we got Doctor Strange and the multiverse was said to play a big role in this next film, then we got an announcement that Jamie Foxx as Electro is making a return, Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spiderman and possibly Toby Macguire’s Spectacular Spiderman if Sony/Marvel can close a deal with him, and finally these three characters with the same actors and actresses making a reprise comeback?! I don’t know about you my fellow nerds but I’m officially geeked out and ecstatic for this film. It’s also shaping up to where we can possibly get the iconic Sinister Six live on screen. I for one can’t wait for the first trailer to drop for this film because I’m already sold.
